Memories

So the last couple of days I have been remembering a lot of things from earlier in my life, and since I don't have anything else to post I think I will share some of the memories that came to my mind these last few days.

1st: I brought this one up to my mom last night. When I was in 3rd grade I had appendicitis. I didn't have to go to school for a week and this maybe me extremely happy, even though I was in tons of pain, especially because my teacher had just had a heart attack and I absolutely despised the sub. Well, my doctor gave me a couple types of medicine that I had to take everyday and one of them was ok and I could take it fine, but the other one was the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted. It is beyond being able to describe the way it tastes, but I will do my best for you all. It was extremely bitter and it was the strongest tasting stuff I have ever had. The memory I really wanted to talk about though with this large intro was the time when my mom tried to disguise my medicine in a bowl of top ramen noodles. My mom was so proud of herself for coming up with this idea and she tried the noodles to make sure you couldn't taste the medicine. Oh, the satisfaction that it gives me to tell you that I didn't have to take that medicine ever again after my mom tasted it in the top ramen is boundless. My mom could not get that taste out of her mouth all day and for part of the next day. I don't know why I thought of this yesterday, but this is my blog so I don't think I have to explain myself.

2nd: A bunch of my other memories this weekend have been about my friends that I went to jr. high with but that went to Davis. Now, these memories are a lot less random than the last one because I had a soccer game where I saw a couple of them and I was hanging out with my friend Luke earlier today. Now, most of my memories about these people are of my friends Luke, Tice (Matthias), and Gerrit. Luke, Tice, and Gerrit are amazing people. They are some of the funniest people I know and if there was one thing I could change about this school year, it would be to make it so we all went to the same high school. I don't really have a specific memory to list here, but I was reminded of so many things about them this weekend that I just had to mention these memories.

3rd: My last memory or set of memories that I would like to note is once again from 3rd grade. When I was in 3rd grade, Sam and I really didn't get along with this kid named Austin Munn (I think that was his last name). So one day, after Sam, a bunch of our other friends, and I finished building a snow fort he came up and challenged us to a snowball fight. We scheduled a snowball fight for right after school that day and that started a snowball war which continued for weeks, almost everyday after school. Well, Sam and I kicked this kid and his friends trash day after day, of course. The main thing I remember about these fights is that one day he told us to invite as many friends as we could, and this kid wasn't very well liked at school, so lots of the boys in our grade decided they wanted to help us. Well, after school we ended up having probably about 12 or 13 kids come for us and he only had 3 for his side. He sat there and then said something like, "You have too many friends, either some of them go home or you give some to me." I already said this kid wasn't liked, but it was to the poing where no one on our team would go to their team so most of them just left. Well, this snowball fight ended up in him and his friends getting whitewashed and one of them getting hit in the eye with a snowball. I was so proud for kicking his butt, but if you knew the kid then you know that it wasn't much of an accomplishment. This may sound bad, but I only feel the slightest bit of remorse for doing that to him.

I remember Austin Munn! What a weird kid, I swear he started crying every day! I never knew about this snowball fight though. You big jerk! :)

HEY!! I had appendicitis when I was 8(or in second grade) too!! And I loved being in the hospital for about a week! Best time of my life! Except for the stupid IV's every day.... I remember one time, my nurses came into check on me, and they brought me a small water gun filled with water, and they told me to squirt one of the other nurses out in the hall. We had a water fight in the hospital, and I'm pretty sure I kicked trash!! It's basically unheard of, right? Wrong!!
