Winter Break!
So Winter Break has started and I know you are all really looking forward to Christmas so I think I will talk about a few of my favorite things about Christmas.
The 12 Days... I Mean My 12 Favorite Things About Christmas
12. Candy Canes- Oh candy canes are very tasty especially when you mix them with #10, and they are symbolic of the shepherds' canes.
11. Snow- Yeah, I say I don't like snow very much, but I can enjoy having a snowball fight every once in a while and Christmas just isn't the same without a fresh coat of snow on the ground.
10. Hot Chocolate- Oh the sensation of cup of hot cocoa going in your mouth and sliding down your throat is indescribable.
9. Eggnog- Who cares if you take the original recipe it becomes alcoholic? Just drink some that doesn't have any of the alcohol in it. (I am selling some of the other though if any of you need some.)
8. Christmas lights- K. I hate putting these up, first of all because I hate heights and second because I have to climb the ladder, but these are symbolic even though many people don't realize it and Christmas wouldn't be as much fun without Temple Square or the lights on all the houses.
7. Homemade Candy- It's a family tradition and if you ate one of the caramels, mindy mints, pieces of fudge, or mega-yums that we made you would understand.
6. Christmas Songs- There aren't very many things that bring the Christmas spirit faster than Christmas songs, just ask Will Ferrell. Personally, I think that the 12 Days of Christmas is one of the best no matter how long it is.
5. Christmas Tree- The ornaments and the star (which we actually have Tinkerbell on top of our tree, but anyways) are so awesome! I like putting it up and decorating it, but I think that my mom has too many ornaments so it takes too long.
4. Strauta- This is probably our most unique family tradition. Every Christmas morning. after we open presents, my grandmas and some other people in my extended family come over and we eat strauta(it's basically a sausage and egg casserole.... mmmmmm) Then we show my grandmas our presents.
3. Family- Every year we have a Christmas party on Christmas Eve with the Parry side of the family and two parties with the Turner side(One on Christmas and the other the Sunday before Christmas), but my favorite part is just my immediate family being together Christmas morning exchanging gifts.
2. Santa/presents- Maybe it's bad that I list these this high, but it is truly one of the best parts of Christmas for me. I don't about you, but I love getting new things and I love to see the joy on my siblings or parents faces when they open a gift that I truly put thought into and have them like it. With Santa, just remember that those who don't believe, don't receive.
1. Christ- Sorry if some of you don't like that I am getting religious on my post, but Christmas really isn't about any of the other stuff I put down. It is about celebrating Christ being born and the joy that he brought to all of our lives. I need to let all of you know that I know that Christ came to Earth for me and all of you and that w/o him I have no idea what I would do. He is my older brother and I know that he loves me with an unconditional love. Sorry, if some of you don't like the fact that I kinda bore my testimony in my post, but this is my blog and that is really what Christmas is all about. That is one of the best parts because everyone tries to be more like Christ at this time of year which makes everything better.
Please tell me if you disagree with any of my placements or anything on here.

Disappointed
So I know I haven't given everyone too much time to respond yet and I am going to wait to give everyone all the answers, but I have been pretty disappointed with the results of my last post. Even though Ali is the only one to comment on it so far, I know that a couple of other people have read that didn't comment on it because they didn't want to because of a lack of knowledge or because they didn't think they could. But Ali has the most with only 4, I mean people this is pathetic. I know that they were tough, but the point of me doing a post like this was to give all of you a challenge. It wouldn't be as fun if each of you got all of them and I would be really surprised if any of you did get all of them. In the mean time I would just like to thank all of you for not cheating(especially you Matt) and I hope that someone is able to redeem you for lack of ability to recognize these song quotes.

One of Those Weird Shuffle Things
-IF SOMEONE SAYS "IS THIS OKAY" YOU SAY?
Jaded (Aerosmith)
-WHAT WOULD BEST DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY?
Decisions, Decisions (The Starting Line)
-WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GUY/GIRL?
She Broke My Heart, So I Broke My Jaw (Just Surrender)
-HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY?
Woe (Say Anything)
-WHAT IS YOUR LIFE'S PURPOSE?
Get Back (Zebrahead)
-WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO?
Follow and Feel (Saosin)
-WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU?
This is the Place (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
-WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR PARENTS?
I'll Be Here (Just Surrender)
-WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT VERY OFTEN?
Inside of You (Hoobastank)
-WHAT IS 2+2?
Drive Away (The All-American Rejects)
-DO YOU THINK OF YOUR BESTIE?
Too Bad (Nickelback)
-WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE PERSON YOU LIKE?
Dead on Arrival (Fall Out Boy)
-WHAT IS YOUR LIFE STORY?
Chamber the Cartridge (Rise Against)
-WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
Feel This Way (Zebrahead)
-WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU SEE THE PERSON YOU LIKE?
Everlong (Foo Fighters)
-WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU?
Justify (Red Jumpsuit Apparatus)
-WHAT WILL YOU DANCE TO AT YOUR WEDDING?
Up & Go (The Starting Line)
-WHAT WILL THEY PLAY AT YOUR FUNERAL?
The Nature of the Ghost (Bedlight for BlueEYES)
-WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY/INTEREST?
Falling Down (Story of the Year)
-WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST FEAR?
Fame
-WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST SECRET?
No One Else (Weezer)
-WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR FRIENDS?
Money Bought (Nickelback)
So that last one was extremely sad and some of the others didn't line up like I wish they would have, but there were a couple cool ones like my funeral song.

You A-Bugga Me!
So I created this blog and I decided that today will be a venting day. So I am only doing this because my family has been on my back all day and I am so sick and tired of it. K, so my little bro, David, was extremely wiggly and getting really annoying(I wasn't the only one who thought this) and then it just kept getting worse and worse as people started ganging up on me.
Ok, so if any of you that read my blog don't know this about me(which I bet all of you do know this) I am extremely competetive. I cannot stand to lose. Even if I am completely horrible at something, usually I will make sure that I can at least beat someone and usually I try to make it so I can beat everyone. Oh I also can't stand it when somebody cheats at a game, just to make that clear. So this is going to sound really silly and you guys are all going to think that I am an idiot, but I can't stand to lose and you all know that now so I don't care what you people think.
So, my family was playing a game tonight and I felt like my mom was being unfair. So I said what I thought and next thing I know my head was on the other side of the room. My mom just tore it off and threw it like it was a basketball on the rack and she was in the 3-point shootout. So this put me in a worse mood and it was only followed by my family bashing on me from then until now, when I decided it was best to isolate myself.
So I am sorry about venting and I truly feel bad about it, but I really shouldn't because this is my blog and I can put whatever I want on it, but I really hate feeling like I am making my problems other people's problems too. So sorry, but thanks if you bore threw my venting.

Memories
So the last couple of days I have been remembering a lot of things from earlier in my life, and since I don't have anything else to post I think I will share some of the memories that came to my mind these last few days.
1st: I brought this one up to my mom last night. When I was in 3rd grade I had appendicitis. I didn't have to go to school for a week and this maybe me extremely happy, even though I was in tons of pain, especially because my teacher had just had a heart attack and I absolutely despised the sub. Well, my doctor gave me a couple types of medicine that I had to take everyday and one of them was ok and I could take it fine, but the other one was the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted. It is beyond being able to describe the way it tastes, but I will do my best for you all. It was extremely bitter and it was the strongest tasting stuff I have ever had. The memory I really wanted to talk about though with this large intro was the time when my mom tried to disguise my medicine in a bowl of top ramen noodles. My mom was so proud of herself for coming up with this idea and she tried the noodles to make sure you couldn't taste the medicine. Oh, the satisfaction that it gives me to tell you that I didn't have to take that medicine ever again after my mom tasted it in the top ramen is boundless. My mom could not get that taste out of her mouth all day and for part of the next day. I don't know why I thought of this yesterday, but this is my blog so I don't think I have to explain myself.
2nd: A bunch of my other memories this weekend have been about my friends that I went to jr. high with but that went to Davis. Now, these memories are a lot less random than the last one because I had a soccer game where I saw a couple of them and I was hanging out with my friend Luke earlier today. Now, most of my memories about these people are of my friends Luke, Tice (Matthias), and Gerrit. Luke, Tice, and Gerrit are amazing people. They are some of the funniest people I know and if there was one thing I could change about this school year, it would be to make it so we all went to the same high school. I don't really have a specific memory to list here, but I was reminded of so many things about them this weekend that I just had to mention these memories.
3rd: My last memory or set of memories that I would like to note is once again from 3rd grade. When I was in 3rd grade, Sam and I really didn't get along with this kid named Austin Munn (I think that was his last name). So one day, after Sam, a bunch of our other friends, and I finished building a snow fort he came up and challenged us to a snowball fight. We scheduled a snowball fight for right after school that day and that started a snowball war which continued for weeks, almost everyday after school. Well, Sam and I kicked this kid and his friends trash day after day, of course. The main thing I remember about these fights is that one day he told us to invite as many friends as we could, and this kid wasn't very well liked at school, so lots of the boys in our grade decided they wanted to help us. Well, after school we ended up having probably about 12 or 13 kids come for us and he only had 3 for his side. He sat there and then said something like, "You have too many friends, either some of them go home or you give some to me." I already said this kid wasn't liked, but it was to the poing where no one on our team would go to their team so most of them just left. Well, this snowball fight ended up in him and his friends getting whitewashed and one of them getting hit in the eye with a snowball. I was so proud for kicking his butt, but if you knew the kid then you know that it wasn't much of an accomplishment. This may sound bad, but I only feel the slightest bit of remorse for doing that to him.

Nothing to do
So I was just sitting here at the computer and I figured I might as well add something to my new blog. I have absolutely nothing to do today, but I am officially done with my Christmas shopping! :) I will probably just end up rambling on and all of you that end up reading this, if anyone ends up reading this, will be way confused. I really don't have anything to post today, but I decided that I might as well do something. Oh, and if anyone happens to have good ideas for future posts then put them in the comments. (I'm not running out of ideas, I am just preparing for the future.)

Wednesday Wonders
So my first post is most likely going to turn into a weekly thing for this. Now, you can't get mad at me if it doesn't because I will be lucky if there are a couple people reading this, but the weekly Wednesday wondrous list will hopefully stay.
I figure I might as well start my lists off with my 10 favorite things in the world so here we go, try to hold on with me.
10 Favorite Things
10. High School... now this sounds pretty weird, but I really appreciate high school after jr. high. It is so much better and you have a clean slate and can totally change what people think of you.
9. Sleep... I should really get more of this.
8. Food... I know this may be down a little farther than the average teenage boy would put it, but many people consider me abnormal and I am picky so it goes a little farther down.
7. Cars... I have one of these! I just can't drive it. :(
6. Holidays... I love spending the time with my family and even though this contrasts with one of the things I listed either, we don't have school.
5. Sports... Soccer and basketball are by far the best in my opinion, but there are others that I enjoy watching and playing occasionally. I still think that soccer and basketball are better though.
4. Girls... What can I say? They make every guys day better.
3. My friends... Well first of all, no one would be able to read this if I didn't have any friends. Then, there is the fact that my friends are freakin' amazing, hilarious, happy, and have great personalities. No, I am not biased at all, they are some of the best people I know.
2. Jamie... I love you Jamie! I have to list her here. My sister is the person who knows and understands me the best and I know that she has my back no matter what. She is also one of the funniest people I know and she has the most radiant personality. You just have to love her!
1. The rest of the fam... My family is amazing and no matter how bad we tease each other and gang up on each other we know that it is just our own little way of showing how we care. It does stink really bad when you are the one getting picked on, but they are family and you have to love 'em.

Growing Fad
So I noticed that there seems to be this thing with a couple of my friends wanting blogs and I figured, what the hey, I might as well get one too. So here is my blog that probably isn't very good, but hopefully it keeps me entertained even if it doesn't keep you entertained.
