Daxton and Parker got out of the car and walked timidly to the front door. Daxton rang the doorbell and a few seconds later they heard the shuffle of feet and the door opened. Kim stood there with the door open and beckoned them in. Looking around Daxton's thoughts started rushing through his head like a river just before a waterfall. 'So this is what it feels like to hang out with the girl you like... Wow, this is a really nice house... Ali looks really cute tonight... I wonder what we are going to do... What's Parker thinking right now?... What's Kim thinking right now?... Man, why didn't I ever talk to girls in jr. high?' As these thoughts raced through Daxton's head he introduced Parker to Kim and Kim, in turn, introduced Daxton and Parker to her dad. Then, they went to the basement to wait for Camille to come.
Downstairs, Daxton and Parker saw the pool table and quickly racked up the pool balls. They invited Kim to play, but she politely declined and sat on the back of the couch. After a couple very evenly matched games, they started wondering what was taking Camille so long and Kim text her to see if she would be coming soon. Shortly afterward, Camille showed up and they all decided they should order a pizza. While they were waiting for the pizza they went upstairs and picked out a movie to watch. Hitch was the movie decided on and they filed down the stairs with the movie. 'I watched this movie last night at my house,' Daxton thought as he sat down. Lines from the movie wafted through the air. The night went on with no significant events, but Daxton thought it was tons of fun spending time with his new friends. He need to hang out with them more often.

Oh man, jordan, I don't think I'm ever going to catch up with your blog with how busy I am lately. You write way fast and looks like you've got a ton of good stuff but I haven't been able to read it!
Hey I finally caught up on your blog.
And it was pretty cool how I can relate to this part of the story so well. Ya, you sure remembered that night pretty well.
